Pretty Flower - Handsome Boy

The boy is getting ready to go to the 8th grade dance. Wow we are almost in high school. These last few days might be the death of us though. And the flower is from the landscaping around the golf club close to our house. I hope you enjoy both. I am learning how to use my new macro lens and my new fish eye lens. More pictures to come.

This plaque is on the River walk in San Antonio. I was excited to take a picture of it, because it is one of the lessons we taught in US History this year. The WPA was one of FDR's programs to get people back to work during the Great Depression! Pretty amazing that the sign is still there on a bridge over the river in downtown San Antonio. History is all around us if you just take the time to look for it!
